Tip Tuesday on Wednesday - Bread Softening

Hey it's Tip Tuesday on Wednesday, once again. This week I'm showing you a wonderful tip to soften hard bread.

Originally I got the idea from Sara Moulton on her PBS series. Her version was for the oven. I have adapted it for the air fryer.

No need to set the oven to preheat.

Cut a piece of aluminum foil. Bring up the sides. Place your bread in it. Sprinkle it with some water (1-2 TBSP is good.) Seal it shut. Place it in your air fryer (or air fryer oven,) Set it to 350 degrees F. 8 minutes. If you have an air fryer with a basket flip the bread halfway through. If you have an air fryer oven there is no need to flip the bread, just cook it for 8 minutes.

Open and it should be soft. Now eat it.

In Sara's version, she softens it for 10 minutes and then opens the back and browns the bread for a minute or so. I find no need to brown it. Just soften it and then use it.
